I practice life drawing regularly because I find it calming and meditative. It helps me really look at people and see how beautifully different—and yet how perfectly made—we all are. Even though most of my art is abstract and inspired by big ideas like energy, the universe, and Zen philosophy, life drawing keeps me connected to the physical world. Our bodies are living proof of the invisible forces I explore in my other work—formed from universal elements, energy, and something a bit magical.
